Lédger® Recovery Login generally refers to signing in to Ledger Recover, Ledger’s optional recovery service designed to provide an additional encrypted backup for wallet access. Ledger explains that Recover can help eligible users restore access to a wallet when they no longer have access to their Secret Recovery Phrase, using identity verification and a compatible Ledger device.
Ledger Recover is different from ordinary Ledger device restoration. If you still possess your Secret Recovery Phrase, the traditional recovery process remains an important way to restore a compatible Ledger device. Ledger emphasizes that the Secret Recovery Phrase is highly sensitive and should never be entered into a website, shared with support personnel, or stored digitally.
According to Ledger, setting up Recover begins through the Ledger Live app. Users create a Ledger Recover login with an email address and password, provide payment details where applicable, complete identity verification, and connect their compatible Ledger device. The service then creates an encrypted backup associated with the user's verified identity.
When recovery is required, Ledger describes a process involving login, connection of a Ledger device, confirmation of account details, and identity verification. The encrypted backup can then be restored to the Ledger device. Ledger currently describes Recover as an optional, opt-in service rather than a replacement for responsible recovery-phrase storage.
Your Secret Recovery Phrase remains extremely important even if you use Ledger Recover. Never type the phrase into a recovery website, Google form, chat, email, browser extension, or computer application. Ledger specifically warns about phishing campaigns designed to trick users into entering their 24-word recovery phrase on fraudulent websites.
If someone asks for your recovery phrase, PIN, or private keys while claiming to provide Ledger support, do not provide the information. Instead, navigate directly to Ledger's official website and use its support resources.
Use only official Ledger websites and applications when accessing recovery services. Do not follow unsolicited recovery links or enter your Secret Recovery Phrase online. If you lose your recovery phrase and do not have an applicable recovery service or backup, wallet access may not be recoverable.
