School overview
Guang Sing elementary school is located in Meinong district of Kaohsiung city. The school was founded in April 28th, 1939 by the Republic of China. The campus area is more than 24,000 square meters. It consists of a library, a playground, an auditorium, a clinic, 14 classrooms with 5 specialist rooms for science, music, computer, English, and blue dyeing.

Taiwan’s goal is to become a bilingual nation by 2030. Therefore, learning English in school is vital. Meinong district is a Hakka community. Guang Sing’s bilingual program is focused on Chinese/Hakka + English.
Our school aims to:

Improve the public’s English proficiency through demand-driven learning

About the foreign English teacher
About the foreign English teacher
Carlo Pangan graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education major in English at the Philippine Normal University, the top university in his country for teacher education. He is a licensed teacher, and a TESOL certified instructor. He has years of professional experience teaching both kids and adults. He is currently based and working in Kaohsiung, Taiwan as a foreign English teacher.
