I submitted my application. What should I expect?
Once you submit your Coast Guard Auxiliary (CGAUX) application, your information will be reviewed, a background check will be conducted, and you'll be notified about your membership status while awaiting final approval and security clearance. After your local DIRAUX receives a favorable report, they will assign you a seven-digit Auxiliary Member ID Number, and your status will be marked as “Application Pending” (AP). Your flotilla will monitor the issuance of your member ID, and once it's assigned, you can begin your training.
I received an email welcoming me to the Coast Guard Auxiliary. What do I do now?
Your new Member ID number also allows you to create a password for the Auxiliary's national website. This password grants you access to exclusive content. While some areas of the website are available to the public, most of it is protected in the Member Zone.
