About Gautam Kumar

I am currently a PhD Candidate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore India. I joined IISc Bangalore in October 2020 and currently working in Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Ashwini Ratnoo.

My research interests are along coordination strategies in Multi-robot systems, flight guidance and control systems, and optimization.

I have completed my Bachelor of Technology in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India in 2020.

My project delved into Autonomous Navigation in Mobile Robots using Sensor Fusion Techniques.

I was fortunate to do an internship during the period May 2019- Nov 2019 at Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Bangalore. My research journey begins with this place. I worked on various ground robots and the implementation of various obstacle avoidance algorithms. Along with that, I had also worked on localization algorithms such as SLAM and GPS-odometry fusion.
