Google recently created a free technology curriculum, Applied Digital Skills, which uses instructional videos and creative projects to teach 7th-12th grade students digital skills, such as Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) while practicing life skills like budgeting, researching, and collaboration. Through these projects students learn career readiness, 21st century skills and digital literacy. You can learn more at g.co/AppliedDigitalSkills. There are currently over 13,500 students using our content.
In addition, Google is currently aligning the Applied Digital Skills curriculum to state standards (such as Common Core, South Carolina Business Applications Standards, etc. Alignment will make it easier for teachers to understand how the content fits in with state requirements so the curriculum can be more easily used in the classroom. Stay tuned for more information on this subject.
