I know the PC takes priority but it has been mentioned that the developers are looking to somewhat level the playing field. Realistic AI traffic and VDGS are pretty important to me and without them, the PC is winning the race not just marginally, but by a country mile!

As of this moment MSFS has no default VDGS system, as you stated support is 3rd party. Which requires running 3rd party code, which is something that console manufacturers have resisted since the first console. They avoid 3rd party code at all costs purely for security reasons, because they do not want their operating systems to subject to a jail break.

A sandbox allows 3rd party code to execute while still being isolated from the console O.S.

For performance reasons, historically speaking, console software has always operated very close to the hardware, with little security overhead. So console manufacturers have always maintained final approval for any code that hit the their console. Until Xbox Wasm.

There was an add-on in the market place that allowed the generic aircraft to be displayed with their real-life liveries for AI traffic using the live traffic that comes with MSFS as an injector, It was called Simple Traffic by Aerosoft and was removed due to it not functioning correctly some of the time due to a choice Asobo /Microsoft make with the Xbox platform and sim settings.

Sadly and unfortunately everything else aside; we have a third-party community ready and willing with proven expirence bringing real life liveries to live traffic on the Xbox platform that would love to bring it back and multipe AI add-ons (Such as the E-Jets traffic addon) that are already created and functional waiting to be reinstated to the marketplace that are unable to do so due to the above simple change.

I went ahead and booked a five day extension to the business trip to visit Tokyo and the real-life Kabukich, the location that Kamurocho and many of the early games are based on. Even going as far as booking a hotel right in the centre of the red-light district.

The vast majority of Kamurocho and Kabukicho line-up perfectly if looking at a map of them, so the next street along would be Tenkaichi Street and Ichiban-gai Street respectively. It is here where we get one of the more iconic structures.

Also along this street is a side street. It may not be as iconic as the red gate, but to long-time fans it marks the very beginning of the series. Next to Bar Serena, the very first moments of the franchise can be witnessed.

These karaoke places can be found on the exact same corner, both in real-life and if you were following the map of Kamurocho. I think this was the point where I realised just how much attention to detail had gone into recreating Kabukicho.

There were a couple more stops on my tour of Kabukicho still to take in. Having spent hours wandering these streets in game, I knew which way to go without the use of a map. Let me tell you, it is a very surreal experience, like literally stepping into your TV to explore an area you have spent hundreds of hours virtually touring around. But no trip to Kabukicho would be complete without a trip to Theatre Square.

Sadly, Club SEGA no longer exists in the real world. It was tough to think of the most recent game in the series that features Kamurocho in such detail, so most of these photos are from Yakuza Kiwami 2.

My final stop was a place called the Golden Gai, known in the games as the Champion District. It is a tiny area with around 300 bars in it. Many of these bars can fit less than ten people in before they reach capacity and as such it is more associated with locals frequenting rather than tourists. The small nature of the bars help create a real sense of community and many patrons will be on friendly terms with the staff that work there. But, in a bar that small, it sounds like you have no option but to strike up conversation.

If all this has whet your appetite to finally jump into this weird and wonderful franchise, then you should. Can I suggest Yakuza 0 on Xbox, a prequel to the main series but also perhaps the strongest entry? Or any of them really, as they are all on Xbox Game Pass for you to jump in at any point.

Hello there! I was wondering if madden 24 will update the "real life rosters/stats" franchise mode? I'm playing on xbox one old gen and it's still at week 1. I notice last year(madden23) it updated around mid-season/week 10 and after superbowl. I was wondering if they are updating it for xbox one old gen?? I seen its been updated for new gen such as xbox one x/s and ps5. Does anyone know? I been searching for answers for weeks now lol any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and have a blessed day! ?

Forza is a series of simulation racing video games for Xbox consoles, Windows 10, iOS and Android devices published by Xbox Game Studios. The series seeks to emulate the performance and handling characteristics of many real-life production, modified and racing cars.

The franchise is primarily divided into two ongoing titles; the original Forza Motorsport series developed by American developer Turn 10 Studios, which focuses on primarily professional-style track racing events and series around a variety of both real and fictional tracks, and the Forza Horizon series mainly developed by British developer Playground Games, which revolves around a fictional racing and music festival called the "Horizon Festival" and features open world environments set in fictional representations of real world areas in which players may freely roam and participate in racing events.

Hello.

I noticed before Christmas that when using NowTV Sky Sports on my Xbox One - the stream was around 25-30 seconds behind real life. On my phone it was around 65-70 seconds behind real life.

There will always be a delay when streaming live over the internet compared to over the air broadcast, radio, satellite etc where the feed needs to be converted, added to servers, then passes through multiple exchanges and miles of cable.

i am sure i read somewhere Chromecast streams have to go through the Google servers, plus the initial server on the streaming service that you are using which causes further delays reaching the device you are watching on.

i also read that Panasonic Smart TV's does something similar where the feed from Netflix for example doesn't go directly down the internet pipe and is re directed first to the Panasonic servers before eventually reaching the Panasonic televisions if you use the inbuilt Apps through the Smart TV.

Where now and again there would be an outage for example on something like Netflix, where Netflix was fine and sending the stream from their servers down the internet pipe, but the problem was at the Panasonic servers end causing the outage and error before the feed reached the customer .

No idea how the time delay has now dramatically increased on your Xbox for NOW live Sports Streams if the internet traffic hasn't increased significantly (unless the NOW streams are also going through Xbox online servers similar to when using Google Chromecast devices).

Can you test the live terrestrial Apps such has a live Sports feed on BBC iPlayer etc (when a live feed is available outside the studio) against the live feed over the air, by switching between both to see if the delay is more than a minute or so and on a similar par to NOW Sports.

I remember watching the World Cup on BBC iPlayer and the time delay between a 1080p live stream on IPlayer and UHD 4K on IPlayer was about a further minute and a half time lag on the 4K stream because of more data and higher quality conversation involved on the BBC iPlayer.

2023 was a rather delicious year for our list of best open world games, will 2024 prove to be as interesting? Well, we'll have to wait and see. What we will say is that only true open worlds can feature on this list, so we're pretty picky about what makes the cut.

That said, these top open world titles are here to absorb all your free time with rich digital worlds you won't mind getting lost in. We've played all of these through ourselves, and can guarantee you a good time with any and all of them.

Death Stranding may not be for everyone when it comes to its narrative, but Kojima's latest is a compelling open world. As much as walking sim as it is an action game, you'll be walking around it for many hours to come, delivering packages, working with the other players to rebuild and create, and watching what they've left in their wake. It's definitely unique, and utterly beautiful, particularly when the music kicks in.

Okay, okay, so Minecraft is technically a sandbox game but hey, that still counts as an open-world game. Punch trees, mine deep into the mountains, and try to avoid falling in lava in this phenomenally large exploration extravaganza. Your imagination is truly the limit in Minecraft, as people have created entire cities, working computers, towering statues and so much more on its blocky landscape. Achievable, er...achievements provide a loose framework in case you want a bit more structure in your games, and when you start to get bored with the ordinary world you can start to explore the Nether and make your next stronghold there. So technically there are two open-world environments at your disposal. Talk about value for money! 152ee80cbc
