COPY moves data between PostgreSQL tables and standard file-system files. COPY TO copies the contents of a table to a file, while COPY FROM copies data from a file to a table (appending the data to whatever is in the table already). COPY TO can also copy the results of a SELECT query.

Requests copying the data with rows already frozen, just as they would be after running the VACUUM FREEZE command. This is intended as a performance option for initial data loading. Rows will be frozen only if the table being loaded has been created or truncated in the current subtransaction, there are no cursors open and there are no older snapshots held by this transaction. It is currently not possible to perform a COPY FREEZE on a partitioned table.

psql will print this command tag only if the command was not COPY ... TO STDOUT, or the equivalent psql meta-command \copy ... to stdout. This is to prevent confusing the command tag with the data that was just printed.

COPY TO can be used only with plain tables, not views, and does not copy rows from child tables or child partitions. For example, COPY table TO copies the same rows as SELECT * FROM ONLY table. The syntax COPY (SELECT * FROM table) TO ... can be used to dump all of the rows in an inheritance hierarchy, partitioned table, or view.

Do not confuse COPY with the psql instruction \copy. \copy invokes COPY FROM STDIN or COPY TO STDOUT, and then fetches/stores the data in a file accessible to the psql client. Thus, file accessibility and access rights depend on the client rather than the server when \copy is used.

COPY stops operation at the first error. This should not lead to problems in the event of a COPY TO, but the target table will already have received earlier rows in a COPY FROM. These rows will not be visible or accessible, but they still occupy disk space. This might amount to a considerable amount of wasted disk space if the failure happened well into a large copy operation. You might wish to invoke VACUUM to recover the wasted space.

End of data can be represented by a single line containing just backslash-period (\.). An end-of-data marker is not necessary when reading from a file, since the end of file serves perfectly well; it is needed only when copying data to or from client applications using pre-3.0 client protocol.

Assignment statements in Python do not copy objects, they create bindingsbetween a target and an object. For collections that are mutable or containmutable items, a copy is sometimes needed so one can change one copy withoutchanging the other. This module provides generic shallow and deep copyoperations (explained below).

This module is part of ansible-core and included in all Ansibleinstallations. In most cases, you can use the shortmodule namecopy even without specifying the collections keyword. However, we recommend you use the Fully Qualified Collection Name (FQCN) ansible.builtin.copy for easy linking to themodule documentation and to avoid conflicting with other collections that may havethe same module name.

The ansible.builtin.copy module copies a file or a directory structure from the local or remote machine to a location on the remote machine. File system meta-information (permissions, ownership, etc.) may be set, even when the file or directory already exists on the target system. Some meta-information may be copied on request.

What I would do is set up a new column with a checkbox called something like Copy Row. Then set up an automation to copy the row if that box is checked. Then they can check a lot of row boxes at once and move a group of them and the attachment and convo will be intact.

Thank you Gentlemen... BUT... The problem is - the column names are not the same in my source and destination sheets, so I'm looking to use a DataMesh-like function, but with the ability to copy the attachments.

I am trying to do the same thing and copy row doesn't work as it brings everything over. Data Mesh does not copy the attachment which is frustrating. I tried Bridge and at first it copied the attachment URL to the new sheet, then it stopped working. Even then, it only copies on attachment URL so if you have multiple attachments it only copies the last one. Not ideal, but it stopped working. I am out of ideas. I have submitted an enhancement request, but I might have better luck sacrificing a goat to to the gods.

I followed your instructions but when I get to the portion of selecting Destination sheet to copy rows to, my search results for the destination sheet brings nothing up. I know I have to be an Owner or Admin for both sheets & I am. When I try to create the workflow from the Destination sheet, I do get search results but this is the opposite of what I want to do. If I'm reading this right, you have a checkbox column in both sheets called Copy Row, and in the Source sheet, you create an automation that copies rows to the Destination sheet any time a change/add is made in the Source sheet. Am I missing a step? Do I need to set up automation to check the box in the Source Sheet Copy Row field when something is added or changed or how is the box checked when something is added/changed? What am I doing wrong that I can't find my Destination sheet?

Edited to say: The field types did not include any formulas, lookup, etc. I'm guessing these would not copy over well, but the multi-select options, numbers with formatting, text fields, dates, all worked for me.

I want to copy an object in one Rhino file to another Rhino file. I have both Rhino files open. I tried CopyToClipboard and then Paste in the file that I want to Paste it to but nothing happens. I also tried just copy and paste and nothing worked. How do I do this. Ps. I am new to Rhino

Thanks in advance

I thought I had this problem at times but it is usually due to having a running command waiting for a response or input in the file you are trying to copy to. A message will pop up in that case but be sure you have a active command line (flashing line).

Adds a content filter to be used during the copy. Multiple calls to filter, add additional filters to thefilter chain. Each filter should implement java.io.FilterReader. Include org.apache.tools.ant.filters.* for access to all the standard Ant filters.

However, I would also like to be able to copy or move variables to another file. I thought it would work since you already are able to multi select them but there seems to be no copy or cut option yet.

I have a screen with 5 buttons in it, all with variables. I was able to copy/paste the screen to another file and all of the variables carried over. When I copy/paste the screen within the same file and same page, all of the variables were cleared out. This might be a bug? This behavior makes no sense.

In Azure Data Factory and Synapse pipelines, you can use the Copy activity to copy data among data stores located on-premises and in the cloud. After you copy the data, you can use other activities to further transform and analyze it. You can also use the Copy activity to publish transformation and analysis results for business intelligence (BI) and application consumption.

You can use the Copy activity to copy files as-is between two file-based data stores, in which case the data is copied efficiently without any serialization or deserialization. In addition, you can also parse or generate files of a given format, for example, you can perform the following:

The copy activity monitoring experience shows you the copy performance statistics for each of your activity run. The Copy activity performance and scalability guide describes key factors that affect the performance of data movement via the Copy activity. It also lists the performance values observed during testing and discusses how to optimize the performance of the Copy activity.

Copy activity supports resume from last failed run when you copy large size of files as-is with binary format between file-based stores and choose to preserve the folder/file hierarchy from source to sink, e.g. to migrate data from Amazon S3 to Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2. It applies to the following file-based connectors: Amazon S3, Amazon S3 Compatible Storage Azure Blob, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Files, File System, FTP, Google Cloud Storage, HDFS, Oracle Cloud Storage and SFTP.

Activity level retry: You can set retry count on copy activity. During the pipeline execution, if this copy activity run fails, the next automatic retry will start from last trial's failure point.

Rerun from failed activity: After pipeline execution completion, you can also trigger a rerun from the failed activity in the ADF UI monitoring view or programmatically. If the failed activity is a copy activity, the pipeline will not only rerun from this activity, but also resume from the previous run's failure point.

While copying data from source to sink, in scenarios like data lake migration, you can also choose to preserve the metadata and ACLs along with data using copy activity. See Preserve metadata for details. 2351a5e196
