Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) International is a global network dedicated to examining and addressing issues of minority participation in academic philosophy. With over 160 chapters worldwide, MAP promotes discussions surrounding gender, race, sexual orientation, class, disability, and other marginalized perspectives within philosophy.
The GSU MAP Chapter, established in 2021, is part of this international network. Our mission aligns with MAP's broader goals of addressing structural injustices and promoting diversity in philosophical discourse. Our chapter aims to create a more inclusive environment within the philosophy department at GSU by organizing opportunities for respectful dialogue and peer support within our community.
Whether you're an undergraduate or graduate student, regardless of background or identity, we welcome your participation. If you're interested in joining us or learning more about our chapter and upcoming events, please feel free to reach out to the current Officers of the GSU Chapter of MAP. We look forward to connecting with you and working together to create positive change in our department and beyond.
