GST Calculator (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) is a GST calculation tool for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, what information stays on your device, and what information may be sent to our service providers.
This Privacy Policy applies to anyone who installs or uses GST Calculator on an Android device.
We do not create user accounts. You do not need to provide a name, email address, phone number, or GSTIN to use the app.
The following information is stored only on your device, unless this Privacy Policy explicitly states otherwise:
GST calculations you choose to save, including:
Entered amount
GST rate
Inclusive or exclusive mode
Intra-state or inter-state supply type
Calculated tax breakdown, including CGST, SGST, or IGST
Total amount
Optional notes you type when saving a calculation, such as invoice, product, or client labels.
A first-launch flag so that the GST introduction screen is shown only once.
Saved calculations and notes are stored locally using on-device preferences. They are not uploaded to our servers.
Uninstalling the app deletes this locally stored data.
GST Calculator does not:
Require sign-in or create an account.
Collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment details.
Upload the amounts, tax figures, or notes from your saved calculations.
Access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.
Show third-party advertising in the current version of the app.
An internet connection is required to start and continue using the app so that the app can check connectivity and determine whether an update is required.
We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) for the following services:
Firebase Analytics is used to understand feature usage, such as:
Opening the splash screen.
Opening the introduction screen.
Opening the dashboard.
Opening the calculator.
Opening saved calculations.
Opening settings.
Completing the introduction.
Tapping Calculate GST.
Tapping Saved Calculations.
Saving a calculation.
Sharing or rating the app.
Opening this Privacy Policy.
Seeing or opening an update prompt.
App events, device/app identifiers used by Google Analytics for Firebase, and coarse usage data may be processed.
When you save a calculation, event parameters may include:
GST rate
Calculation mode (inclusive or exclusive)
Supply type (intra-state or inter-state)
We do not attach the entered amount, tax totals, your notes, your name, or your email address to these analytics events.
Firebase Crashlytics is used to diagnose crashes and errors.
Crash-related information may include:
Crash logs
Device model
Operating system version
App version
Stack traces
Firebase Remote Config is used to determine the minimum/latest app version required for force-update requirements.
The app may use Firebase app instance identifiers, and the app downloads a version string for this purpose.
Firebase Installations is required by the Firebase SDKs described above.
It may process installation identifiers.
Google may process this data according to Google's Privacy Policy and applicable Firebase documentation.
The app may also open the following external services when you choose to use related features:

Google Play for rating, updating, or sharing the app.
The device's system share sheet when you choose Share App.
Depending on the device and Android version, GST Calculator may use the following permissions or system capabilities:
Internet — to check connectivity and communicate with Firebase services.
Network state — to detect whether the device is online.
The app does not request permissions for:
Camera
Microphone
Location
Contacts
Storage
GST Calculator is not directed at children under 13 years of age, or the equivalent minimum age in your country.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it where we can.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share locally stored GST calculations or notes with third parties.
Information that leaves the device is limited to:
Data sent to Firebase/Google as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information your device sends when you open Google Play.
