Vocational education in schools has been part of Himachal Pradesh since academic session 2013-14.Vocational subject under NSQF has been incorporated by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education for class 9th-12th. The vocational education in GSSS Mangal was introduced in year 2015 with two sectors which are Telecommunication and Agriculture. The subjects/trades are part of elective/optional subjects. Practical assessment is being conducted by National Skill Development Council(NSDC) through Sector Skill Councils (SSC).Emphasis is upon skill development/practical. The purpose of this education is to make students capable of employability and have a self confidence for their own startups.
