What We Do

A new kind of research for the Global South. 

We are not doing research as usual. What we practice is a living, breathing cycle of questions, dialogue, and action, where anyone from the Global South can participate in shaping its future. 

Our three community activities capture the spirit of what we do:

• Discussions and Roundtables: Not seminars, but a space where your voice can be heard. Share your thoughts and ideas as we explore the practical and philosophical issues that affect us.

• Global South Projects: Talk is not enough, we need to act. There are solutions to the problems we are facing already out there. Tap into the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the South. See projects.

• Insight Oriented Learning: Aren't you bored of just passively learning? Mastery in knowledge is gained through active learning. Learn through dialogue and activities that force you to participate in your own learning. 

What is Fakataha?

Fakataha is a Tongan word and it means "together".

Why are we telling you this? Because we believe that every voice matters. Also, the founder likes the word a lot...
