Ongoing Support

Adults are at the heart of scouting, simply put - scouting only happens because adults want it to. With this in mind we really hope that you will get every bit as much out of it as you put in.

While scouting’s primary purpose is the development of young people, it also seeks to offer personal development opportunities to adults, both within their Scouting role and as individuals. The Adult Training Scheme is one means by which you can be supported in your chosen role.

In addition to the face-to-face support you will receive we also provide lots of tools and resources to help you in your role, many of these can be found on:

Our Adult Training Scheme

To support adults in scouting we provide a comprehensive programme of training to build on your existing skills and knowledge and help you develop new competencies. All adults in scouting have an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through our national modular Adult Training Scheme.
