2022 GSK Synthetic Organic Chemistry Postgraduate Symposium

GSK are pleased to announce the 2022 GSK Synthetic Organic Chemistry Postgraduate Symposium, which will take place on 5^th/6^th October 2022.

This event should be of particular interest to postgraduate researchers working in the areas of synthesis, catalysis, methodology and mechanistic studies.

The symposium will include both Poster and Oral Presentations. Based on abstract assessment at GSK, applicants will be selected to deliver either an Oral or Poster Presentation, or both. Prizes will be awarded for the best oral presentation and the best poster.

Each 20 minute participant talk will be followed by 10 minutes for questions. Further, a number of poster presenters will be selected to deliver flash oral presentations.

PhD researchers (from 1^st Year and up to and including those in Year 4 of PhD study) interested in presenting their work should submit a one-page abstract by 31^st March 2022. Those selected will be notified by 30^th April 2022.

We very much hope we will be able to hold the symposium at our Medicines Research Centre in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, UK. However, if this is not possible, we will revert to the online format used successfully in 2021.
