Project Area : Ward No. 3, North West Delhi, Delhi, India
Date of acting : 2015 – 2016
Motive : Firstly we surveyed our area to find out that how much children are not getting proper education then we found a lot of poor children whose families are not that much stable financially most of them are the children of Industrial Labour, beggars and those who are currently below poverty line. We personally discussed with their parents, the major problem that was faced by them is finances. So, we finally decided to work on this and started an informal pre –school and started giving education to the children for free of cost. At initial stage, we never thought that we will be getting that much strength in our school. Then we decided to start an Public Trust aiming to provide high quality of education, skill enhancement and cultural activities. The trust, “GURUKUL SHIKSHA DHAAM TRUST” currently working under the umbrella of Mr. Mahesh Kumar who is the chairman of the trust got registered on “30th July,2015”. In 2016, we got the trademark of our school’s logo “ G.S.D. PRE SCHOOL”. In the initial time we got a chance to help around 100 students and in the year 2018-19, we helped around 165-170 students in which we are providing them free of cost books, uniform and stationary etc.
