Shapel Monique LaBorde is currently an ESL teacher in a K-5 setting in Queens, NY. She owns a licensed beauty and wellness business. Her interests include exploring themes of knowledge construction in relation to embodiment and senses, feminist ethics, and critical race theory. Shapel loves her community and family and consistently seeks ways to improve the conditions of the two. Raised by her mother and Grandma Babe, she still carries with much fortitude the mantra her great-grandmother instilled in her: "God, Brains, and Manners" wherever she goes. She lives with her active and amazing four-year-old daughter, Sage Ali.

Emma Prendergast is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Utah Tech University. She received her PhD in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023. In 2022-2023, she was a Charlotte Newcombe Fellow. Her research and teaching interests include political philosophy, ethics, feminist philosophy, and philosophy of education. Her writing has recently been published in Clinical Ethics, Moral Philosophy and Politics, and Journal of the American Philosophical Association.

Scott C. Taylor is a PhD student at Teachers College, Columbia University, Philosophy and Education program. He is the recipient of the 2018 Silberger Scholar Paper Prize from Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, and most recently was awarded the SIU Dewey Center Emerging Scholars Award. He has taught at the undergraduate and graduate level for over a decade. His publications can be found in American Imago, European Journal of Pragmatism and American Philosophy, and the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Outside of academia, Scott is a psychotherapist at the Institute for Personal Growth and proudly serves as a career firefighter for the Jersey City Fire Department.
