Getting to UW–Madison
Our campus is located along the south shore of Lake Mendota and is easily accessible from Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) and major regional highways.
From Dane County Regional Airport (MSN): Take Madison Metro Route D/D2, which connects the airport with downtown and the UW–Madison campus area, or take a taxi/rideshare; the drive to central campus typically takes about 15–20 minutes.
From Chicago O’Hare (ORD): Take the Van Galder/Coach USA bus from the O’Hare Multi-Modal Facility directly to the UW–Madison stop at 250 N. Lake St.
From Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE): Take Badger Bus, which provides direct service between Mitchell Airport and the UW–Madison campus stop on N. Lake Street.
From I-90: Take US-12/18 West (the Beltline) toward Madison, then use the appropriate exit for campus; Park Street provides convenient access to central campus.
From US-14 / the west: Continue toward Madison as US-14 becomes University Avenue, then follow Campus Drive toward the UW–Madison campus.
Visitor Parking is available in several campus parking facilities, including Lot 46 (Lake & Johnson Ramp) and Lot 17 (Engineering Drive Ramp). Availability and visitor access can vary by time and event, so visitors should check the UW–Madison Transportation Services parking information before arriving.
