Registration/payment for Grundy-Kendall ROE/USF partner program courses requires the following two (2) steps:

1. STEP ONE – Register with Grundy -Kendall ROE and pay the course down-payment.

2. STEP TWO – Submit the course registration/enrollment form with USF and pay remaining tuition balance by choosing the course and completing the registration process HERE.   

Please note that you will not have access to the course until BOTH steps of the registration process are complete. It is requested that you complete both portions of the registration at least one month prior to the scheduled course start date.  You will not be enrolled in a course until BOTH steps of the registration process are complete. 

• The current tuition rate for these Partner Program courses is $235* per credit hour unless indicated otherwise.

• Courses taken outside designated Grundy-Kendall ROE /USF sections are billed at standard university tuition rates.

• Courses offered through REAL are not eligible for federal financial assistance.

• Courses offered through this Partner Program are subject to both USF and Partner policies.

ABOUT THE ESL and BILINGUAL EDUCATION  ENDORSEMENTS

Educators interested in adding the ESL or Bilingual Education endorsements to a valid PEL are encouraged to visit their local ROE or the ISBE website for current requirements.

All candidates seeking an ESL or Bilingual Endorsement must provide proof of either three (3) months of full-time teaching OR 100 clinical clock hours of experience in a setting: with Limited English Proficient (LEPs) students for the ESL endorsement and (specifically) TBE Bilingual (program) students for the Bilingual Endorsement.

Appropriate Target Language Proficiency or English Language Proficiency test (as applicable) is required for the Bilingual Education Endorsement ONLY,

1. Complete an endorsement application through your ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) account.   Click here for a helpful how-to video.

2. When the endorsement application is reviewed by ISBE an email notification from noreplylicensure@isbe.net  will be sent to the email account associated with the ELIS account. Ensure the email address associated with the ELIS account is current. 

• • The ISBE application notification will identify any missing endorsement coursework and/or testing.  

  • If the deficiencies are completed within the application expiration date, no additional fees will be required to earn the endorsement.  

  • If the deficiencies are not completed within the application expiration date, an additional endorsement application will need to be submitted.
