Katie Blackwell (Director)
Katie is a singer and director who recently completed a Master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music. She has worked as a director with companies such as Oxford Opera, Puzzlepiece Opera, the Grimeborn Festival, Opera in a Box and Opera Anywhere. Katie is a co-founder of Sorelle Singers, a trio of sopranos. She has also worked as the Education Administrator for Creation Theatre and is currently Oxford Opera’s Director of Education and Outreach.
Chris Gill (Writer/Composer/Musical Director)
Chris Gill has worked for over twenty years as a musical director, composer and writer. After gaining a music degree, he embarked on the Royal Northern College of Music conducting course and a Master’s degree at the University of Oxford. Chris is the founder of the professional touring company Heritage Opera, with which he has conducted over 100 staged performances, including the world première tour of Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park, the UK professional premiere of Moniuszko’s Halka at the POSK Theatre, Hammersmith, The Marriage of Figaro at the Arcola Theatre for the Grimeborn Festival, and Oxford Opera's La bohème at Oxford Playhouse.
