Privacy Policy 

1. Data Privacy at a Glance 

Protecting your personal data is our highest priority. The "Growth & Bloom: AI Life Coach" app (hereinafter "App") is designed with a privacy-first approach. All your sensitive journal entries, mood logs, and personal reflections are stored exclusively locally on your device. We do not store your private entries on any central servers.

2. Artificial Intelligence Processing (Google Gemini) 

To provide interactive coaching features (such as feedback from AI personas), the App communicates via an Application Programming Interface (API) with the Gemini AI services provided by Google (Google LLC, USA / Google Ireland Limited).

• When you actively use the AI coaching features, your specific inputs are transmitted to Google's servers to generate a response.

• All data transmission is encrypted.

• No personal identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or device ID) is transmitted to the AI provider alongside your journal entries, ensuring the processing is as anonymous as possible. In accordance with Google's API terms, data sent via the API is not used to train their general foundation models.

3. Data Collection by App Stores (Google Play) 

When you download the App from the Google Play Store, the necessary information is transferred to the store operator. We have no influence over this data collection and are not responsible for it. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for more details.

4. App Permissions & Local Processing 

The App may request various permissions to function properly:

• Notifications: To send daily reminders.

• Microphone: To allow voice dictation for journal entries. Voice processing happens entirely locally on your device via the Vosk offline model. No audio recordings are sent to the cloud.

• Location: To automatically tag your entries with local weather data.

5. Your Rights (User Rights) 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to, rectification, or erasure of your personal data. Because all your private journal and mood data is stored exclusively on your own device, you have full and direct control over it. You can delete all your data at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. If you have any concerns regarding data processing, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
