Grow RI Native Seeds (GRINS) is made possible in part by a grant from the RI Office of Library and Information Services using funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Our mission is to empower Rhode Islanders to grow and champion native plants via seeds, information, and programming organized by their local libraries.

Seed Labels
The GRINS seed label collection is available on Google Slides, and can be adapted for your own use. Plant images are public domain or carry Creative Commons licenses. We thank the photographers who generously made these images available, as identified in the image credits.

How to Donate Seeds
No need to clean or package seeds – except for milkweeds, whole seed heads are welcome.
Fill out a seed donation form. (Print out the form here, or fill one out on site when you donate.)
Bring your donation to any GRINS library. We will clean, package, and share the seeds through our network.
