The Growing Food Security project at Colorado State University provides fresh produce to the Rams Against Hunger Food Pantry while providing the CSU community hands-on farming experience to promote food security.
Led by graduate students and supported by volunteers from across campus, Growing Food Security is a community-centered initiative that grows and donates 10,000 pounds of fresh, healthy produce for local food pantries. Volunteers gain practical skills and knowledge in food production that they can apply to address food insecurity in their own lives. Our agriculture project offers pathways for meaningful involvement and reinforces local food security at Colorado State University.
