About Me
I have always enjoyed being around animals and at a young age I knew I wanted to work with them. My family and I have had many dogs over the years, most of them being rescues. I was able to witness how great rescue dogs are too, no matter their background. As I got older, I worked with different local pet business owners for a total of 15+ years. I went to Animal Behavior College and graduated as a professional dog trainer in 2016. From 2018- 2022 I worked with local dog trainers, then went off on my own. I love being able to help people and their dog(s) with their training needs. I feel it is my life's purpose. Even though I have the title of a dog trainer, I feel I am more of a teacher to help guide people and dogs into a better/stronger relationship and happier lives.
In between all of this, I had a family of my own and raised a puppy along with two young kids. I know exactly what it is like balancing a family life with having a puppy and meeting their needs and wants too. Experiencing this firsthand gave me the insight to help those trying to balance a busy life with a dog and possibly not knowing where to begin. Integrating training during everyday life helped balance it all with young kids and a puppy. I always say raising kids and dogs are not much different; it takes baby steps, communication, and time to get where you want to be, even if you have a family or not. Training can be possible with any person's schedule. I was fortunate enough to be able to shadow and work for different trainers during the years and continue my own learning too. It gave me even more hands-on experience and knowledge to help as many dogs and people as I can. Working with clients with puppies, dogs, rescues, and those who struggle with the more difficult dogs with behavioral issues, anxiety, fear, and more.
That is why my logo is a tree and has the name Growing Love. It represents us all starting small and needing time and other necessities to become stronger. If we don't have strong roots, water, and sunshine we can't grow to our full potential. The branches represent all those I have already helped and will continue to help. It also represents community and working together, it takes us all growing together to become something more.
I would love to get to know you and your dog(s) so we can set up a training plan for the now and the future to get to the root issue(s) you would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
