Course Introduction

Welcome!

I would like to personally welcome all students to this virtual platform held for your specific English class. Through this Google Site, you will find all the necessary information for the course via the pages linked here. Through this course, you will learn critical skills in the field of English that will carry with you for the rest of your scholastic and professional life such as: learning the skill of MLA Formatting, citing evidence for research, charting your own growth in a subject, and much more.


As stated, each page corresponds to different aspect of this preliminary class, and will be expanded upon with further assignments. Below is a breakdown of each page:

  • Course Materials- Contains instructional material(s) for the class

  • Assignments- Class assignments such as quizzes and rubrics for class practices/formatives/summatives

  • Resources- Learning material that will benefit students within the class

  • Comments & Questions- A place for student and parent feedback on how to improve the site


I myself am Mr. Morgan, and I believe firmly in the creativity and ingenuity of students. My personal teaching philosophy is that students have the inert capabilities to think and assess problems in ever evolving ways, and my job as an educator is to facilitate these spaces of learning that cater to students' needs and challenge them to meet their full potential.
