Three Ph.D. positions in the frame of the Swiss National Foundation project 'Soft condensed matter with correlated disorder' (2020-2024) :

1. Disordered photonics: Light transport, localization & bandgap formation.

2. Driven colloidal dynamics near the glass and jamming transition using monodisperse emulsions.

3. Jammed soft particles: Rheology and Effective interactions in Microgels using optical manipulation and superresolution microscopy.

Master Projects

We offer undergraduate and Master-students the possibility to participate in our research projects on different levels such as

• Short-term Interships during the term (with credits for the VP - labs session)

• Summer-Internships (minimum 6 weeks, with a modest financial compensation)

• 4th year project (1 month, preferrably during the summer or winter break)

• We do have several openings for Master projects :

1. Optical light forces and colloidal interactions

2. Superresolution microscopy of soft materials
