Nights of Show

JUNE 4th and 5th, 6:00PM (Doors open at 5:30pm) 

Dancer Arrival and Preparation Guidelines 

Arrival Preparedness 

Dancers - Dancers are required to arrive with their hair and makeup already completed and dressed in the costume pieces specified for their performance. Detailed instructions regarding costumes, hair, and makeup can be found in the recital packet. If you do not have access to this packet, please reach out to April for assistance. 

Class Assignments and Costume Changes 

Upon arrival, dancers will be assigned specific areas for their class in the hallway behind the stage. Please escort your dancers and help them locate their designated class area. Here, they will put on any costume items provided for them. Dancers who are participating in only one class may use the bathroom facilities to change into their costume. 

If your dancer is enrolled in multiple classes, they should find their assigned chair in the band room, which serves as their spot for costume changes. Once they have found their chair, dancers should change into their costume for the first dance in the lineup and organize all additional costumes needed for the performances. The band room chair will be used for each costume change throughout the event. 

Waiting Area and Activities 

After dressing in their first costume, dancers should find their class sign in the hallway and wait calmly for their scheduled performance time. It is recommended to bring quiet activities to help occupy your dancer while waiting. Please refrain from bringing messy snacks and only provide water for your dancer to drink during this time. Snacks will be provided during intermission.  

Dancer Arrival Times and Show Schedule 

Thursday and Friday, June 4th and 5th at 6:00 pm:  

Tiny Dancers – Arrive at 5:45 with hair and make-up done and ready to put on their costume. Parents can leave dancers with the volunteer backstage for the entire show, or you may take your tiny dancer after their dance.  They can join you in the audience or head home if necessary. If you would like them to be there for the curtain call and final bows, please have them backstage 3 dances before the end of the show. (Parents who have volunteered to help with tiny dancers please be there at 5:30 pm) 

All Other Dancers – Arrive at 5:15 with hair and makeup done and first costume on. They will need to be dropped off in their backstage area (dancers in multiple classes will have a space in the band room).  

Then parents can find their seats in the auditorium. (Backstage Volunteers will need to be there at 5:00)  

Feed your dancer before they come! A non-messy snack will be provided backstage at intermission. Send them with water to drink. – Only water while backstage Please!!  

Please do not be late! 

*Dancers will remain backstage for the entire show, and we ask that they do not leave at intermission!  Each show will be about 2 hours long.

**Please do not drop dancers off earlier than their arrival time unless you were asked to be there earlier as a volunteer.
