Started in 1988 when my family got our first Groenendael Tosca (Voo Doo's Cha Cha), I was only 9 years old at the time, but my love for the breed and training dogs started then. I trained Tosca IGP1 obedience ready and my mother competed with her once in forest tracking ( I was too nervous to do it as I was only 12 years old that time). My very first competition dog was our next Groenendael Zorro (Voo Doo's Gump) whom I got from my mother as my 16th birthday present. I trained and handled Zorro by myself, and we competed in forest tracking, person search, obedience, agility and he also passed SAR ruin search dog basic test.

Groguard Inkheart
I started breeding Groenendaels in 2003. Since then we have had 9 litters born in total. Groguard kennel name is FCI approved and registered in Sweden, Finland and Canada.
November 2021 I started also dog training professionally and have since been working at Sunnidale Boarding Kennels as a Dog Trainer. I finished there in May 2023 and returned back to my other profession working as an RN.
Our dogs live as house pets with us and I like to train, and compete with all of them usually in one or multiple different dog sports. They will also enjoy various activities from swimming, to skijoring and dog sledding, not forgetting hiking and playing with each other. We don't have litters very often, usually maximum once a year or in two years. Sometimes it may be longer time in between the litters.
Our focus in breeding is temperament and working ability, not forgetting health, functional structure and breed typical look. Increasing inbreeding % is detrimental to the health and wellbeing of most breeds in the long run, and I feel strongly, it is today's breeders responsibility to make sure our breed remains healthy for the future. I have been using Intervariety ( Groenendael - Tervueren) breeding bringing in new blood to Groenendaels from working Tervueren lines, and also using males that have not necessarily been used by other breeders before. Most of our dogs now at home are mixed line dogs(show and working line) or fully working line dogs.
