Summer fellowships for undergraduate students 2026

Within the group of Radim Filip at Palacky University, we invite students for funded 6-week fellowships during the summer of 2026. 

The topics for the theoretical project are flexible and include, among other possibilities, quantum opto- and electromechanics, quantum sensing, open quantum nonlinear dynamics, and quantum relativistic effects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's diploma during the fellowship

• strong interest in doing scientific research

• background in quantum theory (e.g., a high-quality course on quantum mechanics)

• strong analytic or programming skills are welcome

• very good command of English

We offer:

• research project pursued under the supervision of a senior researcher (Piotr Grochowski)

• opportunity to interact with leading experts on quantum information, quantum sensing, quantum dynamics, quantum optomechanics, and many others

• funding during the fellowship

• administrative help to find accommodation

Up to 2 positions are to be filled. The following documents:

After that date, the applications are not guaranteed to be considered. The results will appear at the beginning of May. The stay is supposed to finish before the end of September 2026, but the exact timing will be flexibly arranged with the chosen candidates.
