Blink-182 World Tour
Up until May 10th, 2023, I’d never been to a concert. My friends and family had gone before and told me how amazing they were, but for the longest time, I never really cared about going to see someone play the music I could enjoy at home. That was obviously until I saw Blink-182 while they were on their World Tour in May of 2023. I’m Robert Stefanac, one of the faces of Grizzlin Tunes and I want to talk about my first concert here in Toronto, Blink-182 The World Tour. Before The Tour
Months before the tour, I had recently done an assignment about Blink-182 and had shown it to my parents because well my dad and I both like Blink-182. He liked it, but later on, we went to a bar for some food, and the thought of seeing them live came into our heads, so we decided to see if they would go on tour. Sure enough, they were going on their world tour and coming to Toronto in May. Tickets were purchased, and we listened to Blink-182 on the way home in excitement for the concert. I was starting to see the hype behind it, why going to concerts was fun, but I wasn't there just yet.
Day of the Concert
The day had finally come, and it was time to see if the concerts lived up to the hype. Well, not yet; the concert started at 8:00 PM, but we got to Toronto at 4:30 PM, so we had some time to kill.l I hate Toronto,o so it was boring. Anyways after all the security, waiting, the terrible bands that played before Blink-182, and more waiting it was finally time and IT WAS HYPE at least when the songs I listened to were played because holy crap it was crazy everyone in the crowd was roaring, they had inflatable balloons on stage! The best part, however, was when Travis Barker started drumming and then started going higher and higher until he was almost at the ceiling! Just drumming like it was nothing, absolut madness but also the coolest thing ever. They even paused for a bit to talk about how awesome Toronto was as a crowd and how they were dreading going to Montreal. It was dope.
The Night is over
I thought after the concert it was fair to say that they rule. I felt nothing the entire time other than a feeling that can only be described by the words “Hell Ya”. Blink-182 was awesome, and of course, I picked up some pretty dope clothes as well.l It’s like a memento of that awesome night. By the end of all that and having at least a couple of years to look back on that night, Concerts are Hype.
