At first I was not too sure what kind of career I wanted. I just knew that I wanted to work in the Math field. When I transferred to UTSA, I heard about the UTeachSA program and decided to try the introductary courses. In those courses I got to student teach at an elementary school and at a middle school. At the end of the semester, I ended up enjoying teaching . I loved how the students looked up to me and I enjoyed sharing my knowledge to the students. I also like knowing that no matter how small, I am making an impact in their lives. Due to these reasons, I decided to persue my teaching certification to become a secondary Math educator.
