The Griegos Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) extends a warm welcome to all 2025-2026 Mustangs, teachers, staff members, new and returning families!
Students will participate in a 45-minute run/walk around the track. Prior to earning laps, each student will have had efficient time to collect pledges per lap and/or flat donations. This fundraiser is a cherished tradition at Griegos Elementary and serves as the sole fundraising event for the entire school year.
Each year, our goal is to collect over $30,000 to support the various PTO special projects and events at our school, enhancing our children's learning experience. Each student is encouraged to raise $ to help ensure our goal is met.

The School will be hosting an awards ceremony to recognize the top fundraisers and runners. Parents are encouraged to attend and will be notified of scheduling.
Students will receive awards and prizes according to the funds they individually collect, with prize levels beginning at $25 so each child has the opportunity to receive an incentive.

Being apart of our organization is a great way for parents, families, teachers and staff to support each other to make each school year even more successful. PTO helps our students, teachers and staff by supporting field trips, teacher grants, library resources, PE supplies, Family Fun Nights and other essential initiatives. These initiatives are funded by our annual Griegos Jog-A-Thon Fundraiser.

The Griegos Elementary School PTO supports students by funding field trips, purchasing learning resources, providing student agendas, funding end-of-year activities, family events, library materials, PE equipment, computer lab subscriptions, special project grants, Science Fair/Steam Day events, Spelling Bee fees, and materials for the "Griegos Reads" literacy event. All PTO expenditures are based on funds raised by Griegos families at the annual Jog-A-Thon.
The Griegos Elementary School PTO shows support for teachers and staff by organizing various initiatives such as: Appreciation Breakfasts/Lunches during the beginning of the school year and Teacher Appreciation Week, Staff Appreciation Days, Special Project Grants, Principal Funds and Teacher Grants to help with classroom needs. All of these efforts are made possible through fundraising by GES families and friends each year.
The PTO welcomes volunteers at any capacity at anytime! We understand your time is scarce and valuable... we appreciate all the support our fellow parents can provide! Our board members and coordinators are our backbone; Parent volunteers are the soul of our organization.

Where does the money come from?
Each year, a Jog-A-Thon fundraiser is organized to raise a goal amount of $30,000. The money raised is used and distributed based on the needs of students and staff.
