1. Who We Are
Gridiron Genius ("we," "us," or "our") is a football intelligence platform designed for players and coaches. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our application ("the App").

2. Information We Collect
Account Information: Name, email address, and role (coach, coordinator, or player).
Profile Information: Position, jersey number, and graduation year.
Usage Data: Quiz results, flashcard activity, scores, accuracy rates, and leaderboard rankings.
Uploaded Content: Playbook files, route diagrams, scouting reports, schedule documents, PDFs, images, and documents.
Chat & AI Interactions: Messages sent to the AI assistant, including questions, play diagrams, and conversation history.
Team Data: Personnel group configurations, position rules, and team schedules.
Technical Data: Device type, browser type, IP address, and basic usage analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide and improve the platform, personalize your experience, power the AI assistant, generate leaderboard rankings, send email notifications, allow coaches to manage the team, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Email Notifications
By creating an account, you consent to: Daily Study Reminders, Upcoming Event Alerts, and Leaderboard Updates. You may contact your team administrator to be removed at any time.
5. AI & Third-Party Services
The App uses Anthropic's Claude AI service to power the AI chat assistant, quiz generation, flashcard creation, and PDF content extraction. When you interact with these features, the following data is transmitted to Anthropic for processing: your chat messages, questions, conversation history, playbook content, position rules, personnel groupings, route concepts, position, role, team context, and any diagrams/files you share.
Anthropic does not use customer data submitted through their API to train or improve their models. AI interactions are processed under Anthropic's data processing agreements. We do not use your data to train AI models beyond what is needed to respond to your request.
6. Uploaded Files & Content
Files are stored securely and are only accessible to your team. We do not share uploaded content outside your team.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Data is only shared within your team, with trusted service providers (including Anthropic), for legal compliance, or in a business transfer.
8. Data Retention
Data is retained while your account is active. Upon deletion, personal data is permanently removed within 30 days except where required by law.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. No method is 100% secure — use a strong password.
10. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. Users aged 13–17 access the app through coach-managed team invitations.
11. Your Rights
Access, correct, delete, opt out, or request portability of your data by contacting your team administrator or emailing gridirongenuis@gmail.com.

Essential cookies and anonymized analytics only. No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy and will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
