Horseback Scavenger Hunt
Greystone Virtual Horseback Scavenger Hunt
Ride a trail of your choosing and search for items on the scavenger hunt list. Since this is a virtual event based on the honor system, it is expected that everyone follows the rules as outlined below.
The hunt has to be done in one continuous trail ride and no back tracking during the ride. Look for as many items on the hunt list as you can and take a picture of each item found. It’s that simple and fun.
You can enter as an individual or as a team of 2-3 people, you can even give your team a name if you like.
Team entries need to do their one trail ride together as a team picking one person to be the photographer and submitting one set of pictures for the team.
Items on the hunt list will have different point values and your score will be the total points for all the items you found. If a picture is unclear of what it is then you will not get points for that picture/item, clarity decision is left to Greystone.
MAKE SURE TO TAKE A SELFIE WITH YOUR HORSE OR IF ENTERING AS A TEAM TAKE A TEAM SELFIE, INDIVIDUAL PICTURES OF TEAM MEMBERS IS OK IF YOU CANNOT GET A TEAM SHOT.
Your hunt pictures need to be submitted in the event on Facebook. Make a post in the discussion tab with your entry name/team name/team member names, add your selfies as the first picture followed by pictures of all the items found on your hunt. Scores will be calculated based on the pictures in your entry submission post.
The entry link is available under the discussion tab and on the Greystone Dressage website at www.greystonedressage.com.
Entry fees are $40 for an individual entry and $60 for a team entry, $5 FROM EACH ENTRY WILL BE DONATED TO FERRELL HOLLOW FARM SENIOR HORSE & CAT SANCTUARY. Entry fees include the ribbons, prizes and mailing within the US.
Awards - Individual entry division will be awarded 1st - 6th place - with ribbons and prizes for each placing.
Team entry division will be awarded 1st - 6th place - with ribbons for each person on the team (3 people max) and prizes for the team as a whole, these will be mailed to the team leader on the entry form and it will be left up to the team to decide how they would like to divide the prizes they receive.
Once you submit your online entry you will receive the hunt list of items.
You can do your scavenger hunt at any time between when you enter and event date. All picture submissions can be done at anytime but need to be done in the event discussion tab no later than the end of day on the event date.
Scoring will be done within a couple of days after the submission deadline with results posted on the Greystone Dressage Show & Event Group on Facebook.
