What’s in the training, and who’s behind it?
This is part of the New York UNiversity –University of Ghana Research Integrity Training Programme, hosted at the University of Ghana. Since 2018, the programme has been building ethics knowledge and skills in Ghana and other countries in the region.
Environmental Ethics: Looks at how humans affect nature and the moral responsibility we have to protect animals, plants, and the environment.
Pandemic Preparedness Ethics
Covers how to make fair and ethical decisions during public health emergencies. The COVID-19 pandemic showed us where systems were unfair—this training helps prepare for better responses in the future.
AI and Ethics: Looks at the risks and responsibilities that come with using artificial intelligence, like privacy, fairness, and making sure no one is harmed.

Who is organizing this?
It’s part of a larger effort to grow academic excellence and ethical leadership at the University of Ghana. It’s based on feedback from faculty and supports staff in facing new challenges in research and teaching.
