History

The DRG or Democratic Republic of Greistland was founded in 1946 right after WWII with a democratic socialist government and economy.

Greistland was still mostly in tact after WWII because when the Nazis invaded in 1939, the Kingdom of Greistland surrendered after only 15 hours. Then the British came in 1945 and pushed the Nazi forces out of Greistland, this caused most of the damage WWII caused to Greistland. Greistland, after the Nazis fell was allowed to basically do whatever it wanted. 

Greistland stayed as a neutral power through the cold war, doing business with both the east and west, Greistland didn't join NATO until 1999. This is how the country got rich, because Greistland doesn't have too many natural resources, just timber, clay, agriculture, and a bit of stone. Greistland's main industry and money maker is manufacturing.

Greistland joined NATO in 1999, and the european union in 1997. But Greistland still held its connections with Russia until 2014, when it also cut off some other post soviet countries. 

Greistland remains a smaller but powerfull EU nation with democracy and germanic culture.
