I am a PhD Student at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis.
My research interests lie somewhere in the union of Industrial Organization, Public Economics, and Behavioral Economics. Two broad research questions I am interested in studying are:
Given a set of objectives and constraints what sorts of experimental variation should a market designer ask for in to optimally learn about the key parameters necessary to set optimal policy? When even exogenous variation does not yield sufficient information, how might a market designer who is worried about model misspecification mitigate these concerns?
What should optimal taxation/pricing policies be in the presence of behavioral biases, and how can data be used to identify the parameters necessary to implement these optimal policies?
