Hello visitors!
Through this website, I aim to make available my professional profile, my educational philosophies, and personal links.
Background Information:
Passion and commitment to education have always been a priority in my life. My father was a band director for 36 years and my mother worked as a school secretary at Central Dauphin High School. I am married to Bethany Milbrand, a 7th grade social studies teacher. Together we have two children named Blake and Gabriella.
I joined the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) in September, 2018 to serve as the Assistant Executive Director. Prior to joining the CAIU, I served the East Pennsboro Area School District as the Acting Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and the Supervisor of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. It was my pleasure to work for the Halifax Area School District as the Middle School Principal and Assistant Secondary Principal. I gained valuable classroom experience within the Central Dauphin School District teaching Eighth Grade Earth and Space Science at Central Dauphin East Middle School, and 4th and 5th grade at North Side Elementary School.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Education in School Administration, K-12 Principal Certification, and Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Shippensburg University. I am currently enrolled in doctoral studies in educational leadership through Immaculata University.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids, playing golf, and cheering on the New York Yankees.
