About the Director

Andrea Scheulen is the Choir Director and Piano Teacher at Gregg Middle School.  This is her 6th year teaching class piano and 8th year directing choirs, overall 10th year of teaching. She is the Fine Arts Department Chair at GMS. In addition to classroom duties, she serves as a mentor teacher and cooperating teacher. Mrs. Scheulen teaches at Gateway and Pathway, the DD2 Gifted and Talented Fine Arts programs. She regularly performs with the professional ensemble Taylor Festival Choir and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus.  She also currently sings on staff at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston.  Mrs. Scheulen earned a B.M.ed from Miami University (OH) in 2006, after which she taught for several years.  She lived in various places around the country and earned an M.A.T. from the College of Charleston in 2018 upon her return.  She has been teaching at Gregg since 2018. She lives with her husband and their two dogs.
