Fantastic place for nature lovers. The Bogor Botanic Garden is located in Bogor, approximately 50 km from Jakarta. It is Indonesia’s first and foremost botanical garden with 87 hectares area of beautifully kept trees, plants flowers, lawns and ponds. This site is also a world famous institution for research and conservation that has developed over many years and is continuing to do so.

The Gardens are said to have been initiated by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, who, between 1811-1816, became Governor General of the East Indies during the interim reign of the British over the archipelago. However, the Gardens were officially established by the Dutch in 1817 under the directorship of CGC Reinwardt.

Activities and Facilities:

1.        Pick Up : Transportation from hotel / airport / port in Jakarta;

2.        The Bogor Botanic Garden: This site is located in the heart of the city of Bogor and on its ground is also the Presidential Palace (Istana Bogor), the summer retreat of the Indonesian President. At present day the Gardens contain over 15,000 species of plants and trees and 50 species of birds and bats. This huge garden makes an ideal escape for a walk or just some peace and quiet while taking in the scenery (Sightseeing The Area & Photo Stop);

3.        The Orchid House: It was labeled to a greenhouse with no larger than 800 square meters inside Bogor Botanical Garden. This building has some 3000 different species of orchids. Most of the types have been collected from all over Indonesia. However some of creations of Indonesian orchid breeders have been also put inside The Orchid House (Sightseeing Inside The Building & Photo Stop);

4.        Bogor Zoology Museum: An educational museum, collections ranged from birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and fishes. It contains one of the largest collection of preserved fauna specimen in Indonesia. Founded in August 1894 by Dr. J.C. Koningsberger, nowadays the museum is under the institute of research and development of biology of Indonesia (Sightseeing Inside The Museum & Photo Stop);

5.        Free Time: Hence the garden is covering 87 hectares of area, it makes like you are in the jungle. Using the bus or bicycles to explore the garden is the most comfortable way to enjoy it in one day. The bus will give you a good circle of the grounds and a chance to see what it has to offer. Finally, explore the most beautiful point in the garden at your own pace with bicycles;

7.        Drop off : Transportation back to hotel / airport / port in Jakarta.

Payment can be made by cash on the spot during pick up at hotel/airport/port in Indonesian Currency (IDR) and must be completed before tour begins. 

Private Tour or Group Tour :

Greeting Indonesia is a travel agency that focused on conducting private tours service. Specializing in small-group we are using 4 - 7 seater car for 1 - 6 participants. Micro-bus or bus are provided for larger group tour.

Pick Up & Drop Off Point :

Please pay attention to the location of our meeting point due to the fact that Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is located in Tangerang and not in Jakarta, so there is an additional fee for it as a meeting and or finishing point. It would be IDR 200.000 per vehicle.
