"Scientific Investigation: The Online Course" is an interactive live course designed to be an all-inclusive one. It was created by a former DP teacher to help you develop a strong foundation of the knowledge needed so that you could be able to design, author and own your lab report.
It is noteworthy to mention that past experience made us well aware of your main concerns. It also helped us foresee the challenges you might face along the way. This is why we have carefully structured this course to alleviate many of these worries and equip you with the insights needed to recognize and avoid the main hurdles of this journey. Hopefully, this will save you time and unnecessary stress.
Why was this course designed in the first place?
Why was this course designed in the first place?
This course emerged from firsthand experience along with the understanding of the hardships faced by both, students and teachers.
On one hand, it became apparent that several students do not possess the proper skills and knowledge needed to start and complete this task. This is why they end up finding almost every step of this investigation daunting and confusing.
On another hand, teachers' tight schedules and the system's demands do not allow them time to have a rigorous preparatory stage that gears their students up for the scientific investigation -- let alone fill significant gaps from previous years which might extend beyond the subject they teach.
Given the above, this course was designed -- not only to dive into new concepts and help students acquire the necessary skills but also to address mathematical, scientific and other important prerequisites.
