Mission Statement

Green Media is dedicated to reshaping the narrative around alternative green energy sources in the media. We acknowledge the widespread lack of awareness and negative stigmas associated with vital forms of alternative energy, including methane and nuclear power, and we are dedicated to dismantling barriers that impede the acceptance of diverse green energy solutions. Our mission is to bridge the information gap by challenging misconceptions, correcting misinformation, and fostering a positive dialogue. We aim to empower individuals to make informed choices that contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy future.

About Our Team

Alex Marroquin

Alex is a first-year student at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  He is interested in alternative forms of energy, sustainability, and medical devices.  Alex firmly believes alternative and renewable energy is the answer to significantly reduce fossil fuel usage and help the planet.  Alex hopes Green Media will help inform and educate people about alternative forms of energy to promote an environmentally-conscious population.

Javier Rascon

Javier is a first-year student at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is interested in alternative forms of combustion energy that could reduce carbon emissions while meeting the needs of the world. Javier is passionate in his belief that green energy can come from combustible carbon based fuels, and the possible net zero carbon fuels that remain largely untapped. Javier hopes that Green Media can broadcast the potential of these untapped sources of green energy in the hopes of deviating from the unclean fuels used so commonly in modern world.

Lucas Meneghetti

Lucas is a second-year student at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is interested in sustainability, and hopes his future work makes a difference in the environment. Lucas believes energy, especially renewable sources, plays an important role in helping the planet. That is why he believes Green Media will help spread the word, about energy and its outcomes from a fair point of view. Allowing people to make their choices consciously.

Malaya Hood

Malaya is currently a fourth year at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, earning her Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Management. Malaya is interested in pursuing a law degree with an emphasis in Environmental Law. She has a strong passion for clean energy, environmental policy, and sustainable living. Malaya hopes that Green Media will broadcast news about more environmentally friendly options for energy in order to help prevent climate change.
