What does this look like?
Shared Reading Time
Reading sections of a book together. Allowing students to experience a story as a group.
Guided Conversation
Asking and answering thought-provoking questions that encourage deeper thinking.
Creative Connection
Engaging in a short activity inspired by a book.
Community Time
A relaxed space to connect and socialize with others.
Who is this for?
Emerging Readers (7-10)
Children who are developing foundational reading skills and beginning to build confidence with books.
Growing Readers (11-14)
Readers who are strengthening their fluency and engaging with stories through discussion, curiosity, and personal connections.
The Readers Society welcomes young readers at different stages of their literacy journey. The ages mentioned are strong recommendations.
