Membership FAQs
Who is a part of the Fine Arts Boosters (FAB)?
Parents, guardians, families, and members of our community committed to excellence in arts education.
What does FAB do?
We assist GHHS Fine Arts teachers, as needed, by organizing volunteers and/or providing financial support for performances, competitions, exhibitions, and fundraisers.
When does FAB meet?
Meetings are usually held the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM via Google Meet. The agenda includes teacher/student needs, upcoming events, and performances. All FAB members and sponsors are welcome to attend.
How are FAB funds generated?
Funds are generated through membership dues, donations from corporate partners, and fundraisers. Each Fine Arts department may hold individual fundraisers for a specific goal.
Where do FAB funds go?
Funds go only to FAB nonprofit administrative costs (Board members are unpaid volunteers) and FAB programs.
FAB provides much-needed assistance in areas where government and other outside funding falls short. Each Fine Arts department receives allotted funds for their programs/students. Expenditures made over the past several years include: upgrade to the theatre sound system, clay slab roller, digital piano, orchestra instruments, digital cameras, theatre/stage equipment, dance floor cover, art history slides, mobile art display boards, shrink-wrap machine & other supplies.
FAB has awarded small scholarships to graduating seniors over the past several years.
