Alonzo Hauser Sculpture

Alonzo Hauser sculpted and assembled this sculpture on the east facing wall of the Greendale Middle School in 1937. All 12 feet and two tons of statue were on full view until a Middle School addition entombed it in1971. There it remains, intact, but trapped behind the walls of the school gym.

Looking west, the flagpole in its current location, with the Hauser sculpture framed by the trees

Installation almost complete in 1937 on what was originally the east wall of the Community Building, now Middle School.
