Our History
Greenacre Dental Surgery has been proudly serving our local community for well over 30 years. It is a pleasure to have multiple generations of families choosing our practice for their dental needs.
Greenacre Dental Surgery was established in April 1992 by Principal Dentist and owner, Dr Chris Papastavros. The cosy practice opened at the corner of Waterloo and Wangee Rd in Greenacre and featured a small reception area and two treatment rooms.
As the team grew and service scope expanded to cater to patient needs, the practice moved to a new space, just around the corner. The new surgery was built from scratch to offer quality dental care in a modern, fresh environment. Surgery treatment rooms were specifically designed to allow patient comfort whilst also delivering a safe, contemporary and technologically advanced space to treat patients.
The new Greenacre Dental Surgery doors opened in August 2007 on Waterloo Road, featuring a spacious reception area and four fully-equipped treatment rooms. The premises has evolved with the advancement of modern dentistry, being able to cater for on-site for cosmetic procedures, full-mouth rehabilitation and implant surgery.
In the last decade, minor renovations have taken place to update the surgery to ensure technology and resources remain up-to-date and best practice, including the addition of an on-premises OPG x-ray machine and the improvement of the sterilisation and infection control bay.
Greenacre Dental Surgery successfully completed the Private Dental Practice Accreditation program in September 2018. Being an accredited practice means Greenacre Dental has been independently recognised to have integrated the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards into everyday practice culture and patient safety.
The QIP accreditation provided an opportunity for Dr Chris and his team to improve upon existing practices and services at Greenacre Dental, and continue their committment to the highest calibre of patient care and safety.
Dr Chris and the team at Greenacre Dental are extremely proud of the surgery and all it offers. Our dynamic, diverse, experienced and compassionate team are able to assist our patients with their dental needs and provide well-rounded, best-practice care.
Greenacre Dental Surgery has played a significant part in the local community.
Over the last three decades, practitioners have provided oral hygiene talks at local daycare centres, pre-schools, Kindergartens and senior citizen centers.
In 2010, Dr Chris became a sponsor of the NRL's Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs.
For a decade, the Greenacre Dental team provided emergency and restorative dental care to first-grade players and commercial staff, as well as dental instruction and education.
For over 30 years, our team of highly trained dental practitioners, assisting dental staff and receptionists are committed to providing you with outstanding and personalised dental care. We believe that every patient is unique and strive to meet your individual dental needs and goals.
After 28 years open, the COVID-19 pandemic forced Greenacre Dental to shut its doors for the first time. With renewed and updated sterilisation and infection control policies, Greenacre Dental Surgery continues to deliver the highest quality sanitation standards.
