Diplomatic Corps

The Imperial Diplomatic Corps of the Empire of Greater Cavagnial operates under the authority of the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IMFA). It is responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing all diplomatic outreach, foreign relations, and international representation of the Empire.

Through its structured hierarchy, the Corps ensures effective communication, representation, and cooperation with foreign nations and organizations.

Structure & Ranks

Imperial Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Chief Diplomat of the Empire and head of the Diplomatic Corps.
A sitting member of the Imperial Cabinet, the Minister oversees all foreign policy, diplomatic missions, and international strategy.

Ambassador

The highest-ranking representative assigned to a specific country.
Ambassadors manage all diplomatic relations with their assigned nation and oversee embassy operations.
Accreditation: Granted by the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Chargé d’Affaires

Serves as deputy to the Ambassador and assumes duties as Acting Ambassador when required.
Also functions as a general diplomat in broader missions.
Accreditation: Granted by the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Consul General

Leads a designated consular region as defined by the IMFA and the Ambassador.
Responsible for regional diplomatic efforts and appointing Consuls.
Accreditation: Granted by the overseeing Embassy.

Consul

Manages diplomatic and administrative affairs within a major city or metropolitan area.
May serve as a delegate to a national subdivision.
Accreditation: Granted by the Regional Consul General.

Honorary Consul

A volunteer position focused on grassroots outreach and local coordination.
Supports diplomatic initiatives at the community level.
Accreditation: Granted by the local Consul.

Diplomatic Staff

Personnel assigned to embassies, consulates, and missions.
They provide administrative, logistical, and operational support while holding diplomatic protections.
Report directly to their respective representation officers.
