🏍️ GMRW This Week in Washington

August 2–9, 2026

August is here, and Washington's motorcycle calendar is staying busy. While riders across the Northwest begin making the annual run toward Sturgis, there's plenty happening closer to home with bike nights, poker runs, charity rides, memorial events, Motofest on the Olympic Peninsula, and one very appropriately named Too Broke for Sturgis.

The weekday calendar brings familiar bike nights and meetups to Tacoma, Ellensburg, Oak Harbor, Spokane and Longview. Friday, The Great Northwest Motofest gets underway at Extreme Sports Park in Port Angeles, setting up a busy summer weekend across the state.

Saturday is the big day, with rides and events stretching from Whidbey Island and Marysville to Enumclaw, Yelm, Tacoma and Carson. Whether you're supporting a cause, meeting up with friends or just looking for somewhere to point the motorcycle, there are plenty of reasons to ride this week.
