Our Mission
Great Motorcycle Rides Washington is more than a collection of ride maps—it's a rider-built platform dedicated to documenting, connecting, and supporting the motorcycle community across Washington State.
At its foundation, GMRW provides a growing library of curated motorcycle routes, downloadable GPX files, rider notes, event information, and community resources designed to help riders experience some of the best roads Washington has to offer. But the roads themselves are only part of the story.
Washington is filled with forgotten towns, historic landmarks, roadside diners, mountain railroads, hidden viewpoints, local legends, and communities that many riders pass without ever knowing they exist. Through ride maps, event coverage, videos, historical research, and the GMRW Field Atlas, our goal is to help riders discover the stories, people, and places that make each journey memorable.
Why just ride a route, when you can actually explore it?
This platform also serves as a centralized calendar of motorcycle events, rides, bike nights, rallies, and gatherings, helping riders discover where the community is coming together across the state. Through daily updates, on-the-ground reporting, photography, and video coverage, GMRW works to document Washington's motorcycle culture as it happens.
The mission is simple: to serve as a journalist, curator, historian, explorer, and advocate for the motorcycle community. That means highlighting great roads, preserving local history, supporting rider-friendly businesses, promoting events, and helping strengthen the connections that keep the riding community alive.
Whether you're searching for your next ride, planning a weekend adventure, exploring Washington's hidden stories, or simply looking to stay connected with fellow riders, Great Motorcycle Rides Washington exists to help you experience more than the road.
Because the best rides are about more than where they take you.
They're about what you discover along the way.
Built by riders, for riders.
