Our Petition to one-lane the road around Miramar Bays
For some years now the Wellington City Council has been talking about make the road around the Miramar Bays between Shelly Bay and Scorching Bay one lane for vehicles. Previous Cyclovia events where this was closed to vehicles and opened for walkers & cyclists has shown how enormously popular this was. We now want to push the Council to finally implement the one-lane road so that the seaside lane can be used for a safe walking & cycling route as part of the Great Harbour Way. This is our proposal to the Council.
