Ethel Terrace 2021

1849 Tithe Map - Ethel Terrace (plots 103 & 105) highlighted

The earliest known date that can be given to Ethel Terrace is 1849 when the cottages appear on the tithe map of Greasby. Three cottages (nº 1, 2, 3 now nº 100, 98, 96 Greasby Road) were owned by John Ralph Shaw and two (nº 4, 5 now nº 94, 92 Greasby Road) by Mrs Matilda Barker. The heads of household of each occupying family are shown on the tithe records. Mrs Barker's two properties are listed as having only one occupier so it seems her other property was vacant.

Redactions in the Register are of those people born less than 100 years ago.
