Grazia Cecere is a Professor of Digital Economics at Institut Mines-Télécom Business School (IMT-BS), within the LITEM research unit. She also serves as the Director of Research at IMT-BS. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics from a joint program between the University of Paris-Saclay (France) and the University of Turin (Italy). Prior to that, she completed her master's degree at the College of Europe, Natolin in Poland. Her international experience includes visiting researcher positions at SPRU, University of Sussex, and ZEW, Mannheim. Professor Cecere's primary research interests encompass the digital marketing, digital platform with a particular focus on privacy, algorithms, machine learning, and the economics of mobile applications. Her contributions have been recognized with several distinctions. In 2019, she was awarded the 'Marie-Dominique Hagelsteen' prize for responsible advertising by the French professional regulation of advertising authority. In 2021, she received the prize for research by the Social Science Foundation.
She served as a scientific expert for the French Audiovisual Regulator (ARCOM) from 2020 to 2024 and she was a scientific evaluator for INRAE (2020-2024). She currently is a scientific expert for the French Telecommunication Regulator (ARCEP). She is also a member of the scientific council of the Institut de l'Engagement.
Professor Cecere has successfully obtained funding from numerous institutions, including grants from the Institut DataIA (France) and the ANR (French National Research Agency). She maintains active collaborations with researchers in the USA and within major European institutions. Furthermore, she is on the board of the "Association Francophone de Recherche en Économie Numérique."
Grazia Cecere is part of the Editorial Review Board of "Industry and Innovation" and "Journal of Evolutionary Economics".
Her teaching portfolio includes courses in digital marketing, cybersecurity, and data economics.
